We are currently running and actively recruiting patients for two Health-Canada approved studies. We are investigating the effect of cannabis in patients with chronic pain (cancer and non-cancer).

All cannabis products are provided during the trial period.

Please note that patients currently using cannabis are not eligible for the study.

Inhaled Cannabis for the patients suffering uncontrolled pain and advanced cancer

This is the first time in the world that an inhaled cannabis product has been approved for Phase III study which is the final stage of research prior to application for a Drug Identification Number.

This trial evaluates the safety and efficacy of inhaled cannabis to improve quality of life and reduce pain intensity, in patients living with advanced cancer and uncontrolled cancer pain.

Patients participate for 4 weeks with the option to continue to receive the same cannabis treatment for as long as they wish to participate. This is a homecare based study, a nurse will visit each patient at home throughout the study.

Primary Outcome: Improved quality of life

Secondary Outcome: Effect on other symptoms, including pain, appetite, sleep, anxiety. Caregivers Quality of Life is also considered in this study.

Primary Outcome: We are studying different formulations of medical cannabis oil to alleviate chronic pain.

Secondary Outcome: We will assess the effect of different formulations of medical cannabis oil on other symptoms associated to chronic pain like: anxiety, depression, insomnia, appetite
